Miscellaneous Oddities

This is where you will find all those interesting (or semi-interesting) things that do not fit into any other category--memes, odd rantings that won't allow me to rest, etc... Enjoy!

I've Been Tagged

Joyce Scarbrough tagged me with the following meme--maybe you'll get to know me a bit better :-)

What do you think of when you the hear the word tag?
Christmas!!!  Brightly-colored presents with name tags--and THAT one right there has mine on it!!

Do you think you're hot?

Let's see--sweating (lady or not--I sweat!), face bright red, a distinct feeling of melting--yep, I'm hot!

Upload a picture or wallpaper that you're using at the moment.

When was the last time you ate chicken?

Today.  Actually, three times this week--the peanut butter chicken was the best!

The song(s) you listened to recently.

Tick Tock People (the Vaughn Brothers)

It Happens (Sugarland)

Bit**  (Meridith Brooks)--my personal theme song

Tears Dry on Their Own (Amy Winehouse)

What were you thinking as you were doing this?

I kept going back and forth between how I'd missed doing these--and wondering if anyone really wanted to know this information!

Do you have nicknames? What are they?

Does Mom count???

Lynn McMonigal

Holly Jahangiri

Steven Clark Bradley

Marvin D. Wilson

Who's listed as No. 1?

Jenni James--this woman keeps so busy I often wonder when she sleeps--and she does it all with a big smile!

Say something about No. 5

Lynn is someone who knows where her heart resides and is unwilling to sacrifice her beliefs regardless of the reason.
How did you get to know No. 3?

Truthfully, I'm not sure how Jamison and I got in contact--it's as though we pretty much "grew up" on the net over the past decade.  He's one of my "big brothers" (even if he is younger!).

How about No. 4?

I feel like I've always known Kai. She and I met in a group called Momwriters and have since worked together numerous times. You rarely know what Kai is up to--her interests vary so much, and she is one of the few I know who does at least TWO books during NaNo each year!

Leave a message for No. 6.

Holly, I miss talking with you--and would love to see Trockle put in a rare appearance!!!
Leave a lovey dovey message for No. 2.

Billie, you are someone I want to be when I grow up!  Billie is proof that no matter how introverted one is, it is possible to get out there when you have books worth promoting.  She's a true inspiration.
Do No. 7 and No. 8 have any similarities?

Hmm...Steven and Marvin--the're both male :-)  Okay, okay...hush...  I think the biggest thing they have in common is that they are both deep thinkers who hold strong beliefs, which are often a bit outside the box, and aren't afraid to stand up and voice those beliefs--while, at the same time, respecting those who believe differently.
